It’s just about that time, the weather is starting to warm-up and people are going outdoors in search of a new adventure. Earlier this month we spent the day in Eaton Canyon doing a little exploring of our own with Buffalo Jackson’s rugged Dakota Waxed Canvas Rucksack. It was just what we needed for a day like this, check out the full breakdown below. Photography: Sean Martin for The Primary Mag.

First Impressions

Right off the back, you can tell this bag was made for outdoors activities. It’s a lot bigger than one might assume with an ideal amount of storage space, while still being comfortable and not weighing you down. The Dakota Rucksack is great for those who want to escape for a few days and get off the grid or just a day spent hiking and wandering through the wilderness. Between the color of the bag with leather straps to the design and functionality of the bag, it’s just begging to be used out in the wild.

Our first assumptions were correct. The Dakota Rucksack comes with everything you’d need to fight off the elements from waxed canvas to veg-tan leather trim and base, Buffalo Jackson doesn’t spare any details. Other notable additions to the bag include copper rivets, nylon thread for durability, black distressed vintage metal hardware and padded shoulder straps. On the inside, you’ll find plenty of storage space with a padded laptop sleeve and interior pockets to keep your phone and pens neatly organized and safe. The two exterior pockets come in handy for quick access to your essentials like a water bottle or portable charger.

For how well executed the bag is when it comes to design and the quality of the materials, the Dakota Waxed Canvas Rucksack is a great buy for only $275. It comes incredibly handy for anyone who likes to spend time outdoors or even just wants an extremely sturdy bag. You really don’t have to be all that careful with it and has a great amount of storage space, you can’t ask for too much more.
