Boots are something we can never get tired of with so many options available across a variety of brands and styles. They’re essential to any wardrobe and instantly become an extension of the person wearing it as they mold to your feet and age gracefully. You’re able to dress them up or down and can liven up any outfit without having to break the bank. As we continue to keep an eye out for interesting brands and models, we go hands-on with Marc Nolan’s beautiful Aiden Combat Boots in a buttery soft Chocolate Calfskin Leather. At first glance, we love how different the Aiden Boot looks from many of the others we’ve had the opportunity to review. Its inspiration comes from 70’s mountaineering boots and that’s evident in not only the silhouette, but the red laces it comes with. If you’re not a fan of the red laces, they’ve also provided an alternative brown option for a more neutral look. Once you have the boots in-hand, you’ll find soft leather and lightweight construction that makes it easy to wear. Calfskin lining on the interior and eyelet lace-up complete the sleek look.
Comfort & Fit
When looking for a pair of boots, you’re obviously looking for high-quality materials that will be durable in addition to a comfortable wear. As mentioned earlier, these boots are incredibly lightweight, but will still go the distance. While we can be picky with boots, we found the Aiden quite comfortable thanks to the latex memory foam padded insole. Although everyone’s foot is different, we liked how they fit and managed to wear them for a few hours with no complaints. These do run a bit big, so we’d suggest sizing down for the perfect fit. Lastly, on the bottom you’ll find a durable rubber sole that will keep up those long days on your feet.
With so many options available in the market, it’s hard to know which pair of boots is right for you. In the $150-$200 price range, the Aiden is the perfect choice for someone looking for this type of style. It’s lightweight so it’ll be easy on your foot, but also comes equipped with quality upper that will develop a nice patina over time and durable sole. We’re quite partial to the Chocolate Leather version of the Aiden, however there are many other color choices available. Be sure to grab a pair from Marc Nolan if this boot is for you.
