Summer is officially here but that’s not stopping us from wearing boots in the warmer months. We’re back with another review as we go hands-on with Grant Stone’s Diesel Boot in Crimson Chromexcel. We’ve reviewed a few different pairs of boots from Grant Stone in the past and this might be our favorite. Find out why in the review below. Photography: Justin Quebral for The Primary.
What we love most about the boots outside of the timeless silhouette, is the deep brown shade of the Aniline pull-up leather upper tanned by Horween. It gives the Diesel Boot a more formal look that we’ll surely be dressing up when the time comes. It’s perfect for your dark blue jeans but works even better with black denim or even slacks. Brass eyelets and hooks give it that rugged look, but it’s truly versatile and worth a look for year-round wear.
Comfort & Fit
If there’s one thing that quickly became evident with the Diesel Boot is how comfortable it is. Offered in a range of widths, like most boots it runs a half size big so we suggest sizing down from your sneaker size. We’ve found the Micro Stud Rubber sole and heel to be the perfection option for a pair of boots offering plenty of durability and won’t kill your feet. Other notable details include a Cork filler with a steel shank as well as full-grain leather on the lining and veg-tanned leather on the insole, welt, and midsole. The Diesel Boot sits on a Leo last with Goodyear-welt construction in case you need to replace out the sole down the line.
The Diesel Boot in Crimson Chromexcel retails at $340 and while that might more than some other options on the market, you get what you pay for. It’s the quality you’re investing and these boots will surely go the distance. Not only do they look great, but they feel even better on foot. Get yourself a pair by clicking here.
